Trail Play Groups

Boarding: Little Paws’ Big Adventures offers in-home kennel-free boarding for small dogs. Your little one will be pampered in our home and treated as a member of our family. Boarders receive a morning and afternoon neighborhood walk as well as joining us, where appropriate, for one of our Trail Play Groups everyday. We board a maximum of 5 dogs at a time. We accept boarding clients from all over the Bay Area and are flexible with drop off and pick up times. Boarding rates are $50-$65 per dog per day depending on the time of year and care needs of your dog.

Little Paws’ Big Adventures is conveniently located in Oakland, CA. Contact us up to a week in advance for your reservation.

Pet Visits: Little Paws’ Big Adventures offers dog, kitty, bird, rodent and reptile visits too! Pet visits are 30 minutes long. We come to your home, feed your pet and clean their living area, litter box, cage etc. Dogs are fed and then given a leashed dog walk around your neighborhood. We are happy to administer medications when necessary. Pet visits are available early morning, midday and afternoons, 7 days per week. Pet visits are $30 each.

Trail Play Groups: Little Paws’ Big Adventures offers Trail Play Groups to small dogs in Piedmont and the surrounding Oakland neighborhoods. We offer morning and afternoon hikes Monday – Thursday and a midday hike on Fridays.

Morning Trail Play Group: Pick-up 9-10:30am, hike, play sniff, explore 10:30-11:30am, drop off, and a hose down if necessary, by 1pm.

Afternoon Trail Play Group: Pick-up 1-2:30pm, hike, play, sniff, fetch 2:30-3:30pm, drop-off and a hose down if necessary, by 5pm.

Midday Trail Play Group: Pick-up 10-11:30am, hike, play, sniff, swim 11:30-12:30pm, drop-off, and hose down, by 2pm.

Trail Play Groups rates are $25-$30 per dog per Trail Play Group.

Little Paws’ Big Adventures has space for a few energetic small dogs that enjoy the company of other dogs to join us for Trail Play Groups.

We don’t mix with the “big kids,” meaning that your small dog will be placed in the group most suited for her specific exercise and care needs.

Candidates should weigh approx 10-30lbs, exceptions made based on breed and temperament of individual dogs.

We take a maximum of six dogs per trail hike. Each dog is required to walk a minimum of two days per week. We limit the geographical area in which we accept clients in order to ensure the maximum time spent in the park exercising, at least one hour every day, and a minimum amount of time spent in the car driving.

We require all of the dogs in our packs to wear their dog license, registered in the city where they live.

Prospective dogs must be spayed or neutered and have no history of aggression.
